Access Awareness Week – May 31-June 6, 2026
Mayor Small has officially proclaimed this week as Access Awareness Week in Amherst.
This is the 40th year that this public awareness initiative has taken place in Nova Scotia, and this year's theme is Disability Justice: Stronger Together. First Voice Leading Change for Collective Action.
Access Awareness Week promotes the inclusion of all Nova Scotians with disabilities as full citizens within our communities.
