Lower end of Derby St. to be curbed, paved

NOTICE TO DERBY STREET RESIDENTS - Work to curb, grade and pave the gravel section at the lower end of Derby Street will begin on Sept. 13, when the contractor begins to install the curbing.

Residents with driveways leading onto the gravel section of the street will not be able to access their driveways with their vehicles for a period of seven days following the pouring of the curb. The driveway restrictions will be in place starting at 8 a.m. on Sept. 13.

The town asks affected residents to make alternate parking arrangements during this period. Street parking will not be available during the pouring of the curb, but will be available following the completion of the curb installation. Access to the residences and the associated subdivision will be available, but the roadway will be reduced to one lane. Expect minor delays in your travel tiime through the construction area. Road access via Heron Lane will not be obstructed.

Sept. 20-21: Grading

The grading of the road will take place between Sept. 20 and Sept. 21. Access to thre residences and the associated subdivision will be available, but the road will be reduced to one lane. Expect minor delays in travel time through the construction area. Road access via Heron Lane will not be obstructed.

Sept. 24-25: Paving

Paving is expected to take palce on Sept. 20 and 21. Access to the residences and associated subdivision will be available, but the roadway will be reduced to one lane. Expect minor delays in travel time through the construction area. Road access via Heron Lane will not be obstructed.
