2022 Amherst winter parking regulations

WINTER PARKING REGULATIONS - The public is advised that Winter Parking Regulations will be in effect in the Town of Amherst from Nov. 15, 2022, until April 15, 2023.

The Regulations state that:

No owner or driver or person having control or custody of any vehicle, shall between the 15th day of November A.D. 2020 and the 15th day of April A.D. 2021, park or leave standing the same upon any highway or street in the Town of Amherst between the hours of 12:00 o’clock midnight and the hour of 7:00 o’clock in the morning of the same day.

No owner or driver or person having control or custody of any vehicle shall between the 15th day of November A.D. 2020 and the 15th day of April A.D. 2021, park or leave the same standing and unattended by a person authorized to move or capable of operating the same upon any highway or street in the Town of Amherst in such manner as to hinder, inconvenience or prevent the proper removal of snow or ice from such highway or street.

And further that:

It shall be an offence for any person to fail to comply with these regulations and any such person shall be liable to a penalty provided by Section 293 of the Motor Vehicle Act.  

The fine is currently $50.00
